EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy technique designed to help people heal from distressing life experiences. It works by having your therapist briefly focus on a traumatic memory while simultaneously engaging in bi-lateral stimulation. This is usually eye-movements, taps, or sounds. It is non-invasive, and will help the brain reprocess memories more quickly than traditional talk therapy.
